Lubuntu Display Scale Up and Number of Desktop/Workspace

To change Lubuntu screen scaling, create a file .Xresources under the user home directory.  View>Show Hidden if the file is not visible.  Input the following line to the file.

Xft.dpi: 125

Save and reboot.

To change the number of Desktop, click Preference>Openbox Configuration Manager.  Go to Desktops tab, then change the number.

HANA Studio contains hidden objects

In HANA Studio, some packages have (contains hidden objects) suffix to the package name.

To see all objects, go to Window > Preferences.  Under SAP HANA | Modeler | Content Presentation, check Show all objects.

[Invalid UTF-8] showed up for some Chinese characters in Ubuntu

When attempted to type some Chinese characters in Ubuntu, [Invalid UTF-8] showed up after selecting a character.  

If the situation only happened to some characters but not all, try to switch the output from full width to half width characters.

Ubuntu 14.04 Initial User Configuration

There are a few things to modify to improve usabilities and securities.

Disable the online shopping results from the Ubuntu Unity Dash under System Settings>Security & Privacy>Search.

Disable Sticky edges under System Settings>Screen Display>Sticky Edges.

Disable guest account.

Adjust brightness and lock.

Install Comodo Antivirus.

Install Google Chrome.

Uninstall Ubuntu Firefox extension

To check hardware information, run lshw -sanitize > lshw.txt in terminal then type exit to finish outputting the file.
