Windows Context Meun on the Left i.e. Wrong Side

Somehow, the feeling of context menu opened on the left side seems to be on the wrong side as it covered important information of the current application and therefore losing context of current action. 

This is a Table PC Settings which assumes the user is holding a pen and needs to see the context menu without moving the hand compared to using a mouse has nothing blocking the view.

To change the setting:
1) Windows Run
2) shell:::{80F3F1D5-FECA-45F3-BC32-752C152E456E}
3) At Tablet PC Settings dialog, change to Other tab and change Handedness setting.

iOS App Icons Randomly Flickering / Flashing

When looking at iPhone Home screen, iOS app icons randomly flickering or flashing without any indication what was the purpose. 

Some threads suggested the app icon with "Cleaning" text was attempting to clear cache.  In this case, no "Cleaning" text was displayed.  Also saw a thread indicating there might be a log file called Panic under Diagnostic and Usage Data that was affecting the app.

iOS version 11.1.1, Settings > Privacy > Analytics and turn off Share iPhone Analytics.  (So far, this seems to solve the mystery.)

Switch AutoCAD to classic UI

Perform the following steps to swith AutoCAD 2017 to classic look and feel:

1. Type MENUBAR and set the value to 1.
2. Type RIBBONCLOSE to close ribbon bar.
3. Add desired toolbars from the menu bar under Tools > Toolbars > AutoCAD > etc.  Example toolbar layout:
• Standard, Style, Dimension
• Layers, Properties
4. Save the layout from the menu bar under Tools > Workspaces > Save Current As.  Give a name then save.
5. Go to Tools > Workspaces > Workspace Settings to arrange display order and confirm settings.

Convert units between Metric and Imperial in AutoCAD

In AutoCAD, the unit is a generic unit with no direct connection to metric or imperial units.  The simple way is to use Scale command in Model space to resize either scale up by 2.54 or vice versa.

Note, any measure text would need to be manually recalculated.

Change AutoCAD Paper Space to Black and White

To remove colours from paper space and set to Black & White:

1. Go to File > Page Setup Manager.
2. Select the desired page setup.
3. Click Modify.
4. Under Plot style table (pen assignments), check Display plot styles.

Import CTB File to AutoCAD

To import CTB file to AutoCAD:

1. Go to Tools > Options.
2. Switch to Files tab.
3. Expand Printer Support File Path > Plot Style Table Search Path option.
4. Drop CTB file into the the specific file path from above.
5. Restart AutoCAD.
